What to Look for in a Dental Implant Review

Last week, we addressed some of people's misconceptions about the dental implant process. However, that may not have addressed all of your questions. You might still be wondering, How can I know which Dentist provides the best dental implants? So, for this week, we will be going over some tips for vetting and weeding out all of those dental implant reviews and assessing which Dentist is the best fit.

Can I Trust Online Reviews?

Before we begin assessing which online reviews are trustworthy or not, you might be wondering if you can even trust online reviews at all. And this is a reasonable consideration to make. After all, online reviews are not always authentic - and in some cases, they are overwhelmingly the product of people writing fraudulent reviews. When considering whether online reviews are trustworthy, it is difficult to answer with a simple yes or no. Despite this, we can offer you some tips, tricks, and guidelines to follow, which may help you ascertain whether an online review is authentic or not.

Be Skeptical of Extreme Reviews

If a review appears unhinged or extreme, it would be prudent to usher a fair bit of skepticism. If a reviewer absolutely hated or absolutely loved the service, and added a great deal of flair, flourishes, and hyperbole, then it might be safe to take that review with a grain of salt. Remember that these reviews can be difficult to verify, and we do not know the actual experience, motives, or intentions of these reviews.

Watch Out For Similar Wording

Some businesses will pay people to write favorable reviews for their business. This is another trend to look out for. If a business has reviews that all seem to have similar wording, writing style, or general experience, then that may be a red flag for a fraudulent review. In addition, you might find that the review is too specific to what you are looking for. In fact, the keywords are almost identical to what you searched - it just seems too good to be true. And yes, it just as well might be. Some businesses have gotten wise to the fact that putting specific keywords on their website - like in their online reviews - can help drive users to their website.

Verify with Other Review Websites

Just because you saw a few favorable reviews on a Dentist’s website does not mean that they are reliable reviews. Remember: the Dentist has control over what reviews are posted on their website, and there is a good chance that the Dentist does not want unfavorable reviews on their site. So, you can verify and check other websites to see what people on impartial websites may be saying. You can do some research by checking out these websites which post reviews of Dentists and dental implant reviews: Yelp, Google My Business, 1-800-Dentist, and HealthGrades.com. If you have any more specific questions about the dental implant process, do not hesitate to contact Dr. Liberman of Great Neck Dental Care.
